VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS WELCOME!

We are currently looking for stage crew Volunteers who are willing to commit to work with us throughout the year in building next year's haunt. If you like planning and building stage sets and have always wanted to be behind the scenes of a haunted house, please contact us at hauntedsunrise.com.  

We will also be looking for VOLUNTEERS who are willing to commit to work on weekend evenings for the 2010 haunting season. Haunters, actors, actresses, tour guides, make-up artists, stage crew, and anyone looking to have a good time and show are welcome to join us! We'll find a place for you.  No experience is necessary but always welcome. Sorry, we are no longer accepting applications from minors.  All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

All volunteers ARE REQUIRED to complete and sign a Volunteer Application, Agreement to Haunt Rules, and a Disclaimer Agreement before being permitted to participate in the Haunt.  Please bring 2 forms of identification (military ID, driver's license, student ID, learner's permit, etc.) at the time of submitting your forms. Please contact us at hauntedsunrise.com before coming to the Farm so that these papers can be completed as much as possible BEFORE you come.  We ask that you let us know that you are coming.

Volunteers must arrive as close to 5 pm as possible in order to get into costume and make-up; and plan to stay the entire performance evening.  Scene assignments, costumes, make-up and masks are assigned on a first-come first serve basis with favorite scenes, characters, make-up and masks taken by those who have already committed to the entire performance season and those that arrive early.  The make-up artists are willing to assist you with your choice of theatrical make-up and/or prosthetics but you must arrive early if you want something complex.  

What to bring:

A positive attitude and a desire to work and have fun!

Volunteers are welcome to bring their own unlicensed "character" (costumes, make-up, props).  All costumes, masks and props must be approved before being used in the Haunt.  Please do not spend money on make-up, costumes, masks and/or props because you will not be reimbursed for these expenses.  For your convenience, we have a wide selection of costumes, masks, make-up, wigs, and props available for your use. 

Wear dark clothing and dark shoes to be worn under your costumes.

Please dress according to weather and in layers.  It can get hot in the barns when the temperature is warm; but it can also get cold as the temperature drops quickly in the October evenings.  It can also get cold if you are outside for any period of time.  Volunteers have worn Under Armour cold gear (or similar brands) because they aren't bulky under costumes.

Although refreshments and concessions are available, please bring everything you need for the entire performance evening since you will not have an opportunity to leave the Haunt.

 What not to bring:

A bad attitude, leave your bad day and personal issues at home or work; we're all here to have fun & a good time, so please check your troubles at the door.

We are a family-friendly environment. There will be young patrons, child & young adult volunteers, children of volunteers, and boy scouts in the barns. Please act and behave in a professional manner.  Inappropriate behavior and/or offensive language wll not be tolerated.  Please do not wear costumes, teeshirts and/or sweatshirts with offensive language and/or images.

No smoking is permitted in the barns or in any buildings on federal installations.

Possession of Alcohol, drugs and/or other illegal substances, and real weapons for the purpose of personal use and/or the distribution thereof is not permitted on federal installations.  For the safety of patrons & staff, anyone appearing to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will be sent home.

Sorry, due to the nature of the Haunt, no pets are permitted.  Please do not leave pets in cars.
